Started on a shoestring budget and a lot of heart, the Wichita Wizards joined the Minor League Basketball Association or MLBA, a league that has a mission in perfect alignment with Creed.
"It's all about the players and creating opportunities for them," said Creed, who added that the 2022 team is one of the youngest the Wizards have put together in their four-year existence. "We've got some great talent on the team."
The mission of the MLBA? Well, it's all about those talented players. It is to create the number one Minor League Basketball program in North America in which all players and officials can build a platform to showcase their skills for the NBA, G League, Overseas Leagues, Scouts, and Agents.
And while Creed is focused on his players, he asks his team to focus on the fans and bring high energy and excitement to every game. Creed also wants his team and staff to provide a positive atmosphere that builds the community of fans and youth players in Wichita. The Lady Wizards dance team, the support staff, announcers, national anthem singers and even the ticket takers Creed has pulled together are all focused on this energy.
"We want to have a lot of fun while helping the players - and everyone involved with the Wizards - reach their highest potential," said Creed.
