From strategic game planning to personalized player development, our experienced coaching staff brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every practice and game. But it doesn't stop there. Our support team of athletic trainers, office staff, and sports psychologists provide the comprehensive care and support our players need to perform at their best. Together, they form the backbone of our organization, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork that propels the Wichita Wizards to new heights season after season. It's not just about winning games – it's about building a legacy, and our support staff is instrumental in making that happen.

Mark Creed

OWNER & CEO

Mark is the creator of the Wichita Wizards and has ran the franchise since he founded it in 2018.

He has developed this team to;

Johnny Murdock

2024 WIZARDS HEAD COACH

Murdock is excited to get on the practice court with his new team: "I want to bring a close-knit family relationship with the players. But also, structure and discipline. "

Who is Murdock in a nutshell? "I am a God-fearing grandfather, father, son, brother. A love-basketball guy. And I love kids! I like working with kids and I like connecting with kids. Born and raised in Wichita Kansas, I have been involved with basketball for more than 40 years, one way or the other."

Salina Ferrow

VP of Partnership Marketing

The Wichita Wizards are proud to announce a new member of their staff. Wichitan Salina Ferrow will serve as the teams Vice President of Partnership Marketing.

The newly-created position will help the board expand it's ability to reach out to local businesses for sponsorships. While all players and staff members are still dedicated to their team and will continue to work to find sponsors for the 2024 season, Ferrow brings her wealth of corporate and business experience to the Wizards’ organization to help boost funding to the next level. Ferrow is a strategic leader known for training, guiding, and mentoring teams to achieve organizational goals in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Mike Brady

2023 WIZARDS QUALITY ADVISOR
Mike Brady brings 35 years of work experience to the Wizards. His areas of expertise include organizational and project management, quality management, process improvement, and event planning.

Carter Myers

2024 TEAM STATISTICIAN and DESIGNER

Carter Myers started out as a Sports Management WSU intern for the Wichita Wizards, has since joined our full-time staff, and blossomed into the organization filling several roles, including being the Director of Game Day Operations and an Assistant Coach. He will be scheduling all entertainment from the community to add to the excitement of the game day.

Lisa Sillaway Henshall

VP of Social Media and Web Design
Lisa is our Digital Communications & Media Relations for Wichita Wizards. She has built our Wichita Wizards website, has connections
to many media sources in Wichita's surrounding areas, provides written material to news sources, and will be including sponsors with her
material.

Lance Russell

Lance Russell loves basketball. If he's not playing, you can bet he's watching.

The latest Wizard addition was born and raised in Wellington, Kan., and has lived in Wichita the last 23 years. Those decades saw Lance growing up playing basketball, in fact, he says he has "played my entire life." In high school, Russell was selected for the All CTL team (1993), and garnered an All-State honorable mention.

After graduation, his life took a bit of a turn, but just a short lived one to a very different field. Russell went to Fort Hays State on a football scholarship, but then quickly transferred to Emporia State and earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Since then, it's been basketball, family and faith for Russell. His three daughters are central to his every decision. And we're very glad that his latest decision has been to join the Wizards family!
