Wichita Wizards Name PC Patton Head Coach

 

WICHITA, Kan. (Feb. 7, 2026) — The Wichita Wizards today announced the hiring of PC Patton as the organization’s new Head Coach, as the team prepares for its next chapter of Wizards basketball and continued growth in the Wichita community.

 

Founded in 2019, the Wichita Wizards have become a cornerstone of the city’s sports scene, pairing high-energy game nights with a “community first” mindset.   The Wizards are a charter member of the Mid-America Basketball Association (MABA) after helping establish the league in late 2022.  

 

Patton brings more than a decade of coaching and player-development experience, with a background spanning youth, high school, and program-building roles. Most recently, he served as Live Entertainment Personnel with the Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) during the 2024–2025 season, contributing to fan experience and professional-level game presentation. He previously coached at the middle- and high-school levels, with teams earning multiple sub-state and tournament championships, along with a city title and standout season records.

 

“PC is the right leader for where we’re headed,” said Mark Creed, owner of the Wichita Wizards. “He understands culture, accountability, and development — and he’s built winning environments. We’re excited to welcome him to Wichita and keep building on the legacy our fans have helped create.”  

 

Patton is honored to step into the role. The Wizards stand for high-level basketball, pride in Wichita, and real impact beyond the court. His goal is to build a disciplined, player-first program that competes every night and represents the city the right way.
